Shipping & Payment Policy — Orthodox Toys Online Store

This page explains how we process and ship orders, as well as the payment methods we accept. Please read carefully before placing an order. 

1.  Order Processing and Production Times

All items are handmade to order. We do not keep stock. Every product is made from scratch once payment is received and production is scheduled.

  • Since Orthodox Toys is a family-run hobby workshop, all work is completed in the evenings and weekends. Please expect possible delays, especially during busy seasons.

  • Many products require 4–8 weeks of production before shipment.

  • We will send you regular updates by email on your order status, including when production begins, progress milestones, and shipping confirmation with tracking details.

2. Shipping Options and Zones

 All orders are shipped from British Columbia, Canada via Canada Post.

  • We currently ship to:

  • Canada

  • United States

  • Selected international destinations outside Europe (please contact us if your country is not listed at checkout).

  • We do not ship to Europe at this time.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and destination.

  • For U.S. customers:

  • Most of our religious educational products qualify for duty-free entry under the USMCA agreement.

  • We ship using Delivered Duties Paid (DDP), so there are no extra customs fees for American customers.

  • For international customers outside the U.S. and Europe:

  • You are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import taxes that may apply in your country.

4.  Delivery Times

Delivery times begin after production is complete and the order has been shipped.

  • Canada: 5–10 business days.

  • USA: 10–15 business days.

  • International (outside Europe): 8–12 weeks.

  • Please note: Delays may occur due to customs or postal service disruptions. Orthodox Toys is not responsible for such delays.

5. Risk of Loss, Damaged, and Lost Packages

Risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the package is handed to the shipping carrier.

  • If your package arrives damaged:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage.

  • We will work with you to resolve the issue.

  • If your package is lost in transit:

  • Contact us and we will file a claim with the carrier. Depending on the outcome, we may arrange a replacement or refund.

6. Returns and Exchanges

 Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery.

  • Items must be returned in original condition.

  • The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if the item is not returned in its original condition.

  • Custom or personalised orders may not be eligible for return.

7. Payment Options

 We accept the following secure payment methods:

  • All major credit cards (via Stripe).

  • Payments are processed securely by third-party providers. Orthodox Toys does not collect or store credit card numbers.

8. Payment Requirements

  • Full payment is required in advance before production begins or an order is shipped.

  • Orders will not be scheduled until payment has been received in full.

  • Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
